Morocco
Labyrinthine medinas, the blue city of Chefchaouen, and nights under the Sahara stars — Morocco delivers big adventure just a cheap flight from Europe.

Morocco feels a world away from Europe, yet budget airlines fly into Marrakech, Fes, and Tangier from dozens of European cities for less than a train ticket.
Why it’s cheap
Riad hostels in the medinas cost $8–15 a night, often with rooftop terraces and breakfast included. A tagine or couscous lunch at a local spot runs $3–5, and fresh orange juice is under $1.
Getting around
ONCF trains connect Tangier, Rabat, Casablanca, Fes, and Marrakech cheaply, and the Al Boraq high-speed line is fast and affordable. CTM and Supratours buses cover the rest, including Chefchaouen and the desert towns.
Where budget meets comfort
A private room in a traditional riad costs $25–40, and shared three-day Sahara tours from Marrakech start around $100 including transport, meals, and a night in a desert camp. Haggle politely in the souks; first prices are rarely final.
